Tesla has announced its largest UK site in Trafford, focused on new and Certified Pre-Owned vehicles, with its grand opening on 21st February 2026.
Based in the UK’s industrial capital, this Manchester location marks a bold step in Tesla’s mission to accelerate the UK’s transition to electric vehicles (EVs) while also building a world of amazing abundance. The opening of this site continues Tesla’s decade-long investment into Manchester and is a new flagship location for the country, featuring a theme park-inspired customer journey and a secret Rave Cave only for Tesla Owners.
At the site, Tesla fans will be able to purchase, test drive, and take delivery of their new or Certified Pre-Owned electric vehicle, primed for the future of zero-emission driving and autonomous vehicles. The site will hold hundreds of cars as they await their new owners, as well as refurbish and sell used Tesla vehicles, which lowers the entry point for those wanting to start their journey into electric vehicles.
The site features a Manchester bee-inspired LED mural, a 360-degree rotating car photobooth, as well as deconstructed Tesla vehicles on display throughout to help educate customers on the construction of their vehicle. The most anticipated feature of the site, its Rave Cave, however, remains a tight-lipped secret only experienced by Tesla Owners upon the purchase of their new car.
A location of such size is strategically important to Tesla in the UK, as its Model Y was the UK’s bestselling EV of 2025, followed by the Model 3 in 2nd place according to SMMT figures across 2025 as a whole. The Model Y was also the fastest selling used EV and the 2nd fastest selling used car of any fuel type in January 2026, according to AutoTrader.
For this reason, Tesla is investing in a large-scale operation for Manchester, creating new jobs and upskilling workers for the electric vehicle transition.
With an opening party on 21st February, guests can enjoy:
- Same day test drives of the best-selling Model Y and Model 3, including the newly arrived Model Y and Model 3 Rear Wheel Drives
- Behind the scenes tours of the 155,000 sq. ft location, including interactive displays and insights into EV ownership
- Family friendly fun and food
- Tesla Owners can also enjoy a free valet and cleaning services on the day, as well as an exclusive ‘glambot’ photo opportunity for them and their beloved vehicle
Tesla UK & Ireland’s Senior Delivery Operations Manager, Bex Hill, commented, “This new flagship location for Tesla marks the future of electric vehicles at scale and showcases our belief in Manchester. We’ve been in the city for 11 years now, and we’re excited to keep investing here. We have some more surprises for Manchester later this year, with more site openings and investment to follow, as well as job opportunities for local Mancunians.”
Bex continues, “A key focus for the site was the customer journey, and we took inspiration from theme parks and immersive experiences. We’ll keep the details a surprise that’s exclusive to new Tesla Owners, but we’ve designed a bespoke Rave Cave that will welcome new Tesla Owners into a world of electrification, excitement, and AI. We call it amazing abundance.”
Located to meet the rising demand for EVs in the North, the site strengthens Tesla’s network, connecting seamlessly with its flagship store in Manchester Central and the Supercharging hub at Manchester Trafford Centre.
This opening follows the launch of the Model Y and Model 3 Rear Wheel Drive, which provides Tesla’s most accessible entry point for new cars from £39,990. Model 3 starts from £15,000, Certified Pre-Owned on Tesla.com.
