Aaron Booth Shines with Four Tries in Trafford MV Win

There was reason to cheer on Saturday at MacPherson Park, Sale as Trafford MV secured only their second win of the season in what has proved to be a tough league.

The team secured this crucial win in their battle to avoid relegation by scoring in the final seconds of the game to cheers and leaps of joy.

The game was an end-to-end affair throughout, with only a score separating the teams at any point in the match, keeping both sets of supporters fully engaged.

Both teams swapped scores throughout the first half, and it was Trafford’s player-coach, Aaron Booth, who was often in the right place at the right time, proving to be the arrowhead that kept the TMV attack firing.

The game reflected both teams’ positions as the bottom two sides in the league, as both sets of defenses proved weak at times. A further increase in performance is needed from TMV, as with four games left to play, each tackle will prove vital to securing league points.

With the score 21-24 at half time, both teams had everything to play for, and with tough forward exchanges and a plentiful supply of ball, both teams attacked at every opportunity.

The sides exchanged the lead through the second half, building up to an exciting finale. As the final whistle blew on a score of 38-36, Trafford MV breathed a sigh of relief, with Aaron Booth taking Player of the Match with four tries and Joe Walls adding another.

Luke O’Shea added conversions along the way, and TMV goes again. This coming weekend, a tough away game against fifth-placed Aldwinians is on the cards, but spirits are high at Trafford MV.

The Club said farewell to powerful back row player Jimmy Craven who played his last game for the club before moving to East Anglia with work – the Club thanks him for his commitment and wishes him well for the future.
