An armed robbery occurred at McColls on Shaftesbury Avenue in Timperley this morning Aug 22.

One offender was armed with a baseball bat and wearing balaclavas, they threatened the manager but was unhurt in the incident although understandably shaken up.

They made off with plenty of cigarettes.

One of the cars used in the incident had been stolen from a burglary earlier on Woodlands Parkway in Timperley.

Two vehicles were stolen were:

BMW X5 Estate – REG- WU63 EJA (GREY) – used in Robbery and a BMW 320 – REG- MM12 ERY (SILVER)

The offender’s description is two males wearing all dark clothing.
