People Took To Twitter To Praise And Thank Fire Fighters In Manchester For Keeping Them Safe On Bonfire Night

Bonfire night this year  was a dry but cold evening, some wind helping clear the smog and the moon just looking so lazy in the sky.

Trafford had some very good bonfire displays this year and it was recommended all went to one, being cheaper, and just a better night overall with safety in mind.

Others though chose to have a private bonfire, some of which sadly got out of control.

People all over Manchester took to Twitter to thank the firefighters, it must have been heart warming to hear such comments.

Manchester Fire told us from 3pm up to 10pm they had 24 calls from residents  in Trafford from a range of issues, from out of control fires to bins etc catching fire, we saw a report that a garage had caught fire that spread to another property in Flixton, Fire fighters was on hand to keep everything under control.

Bonfire night this year has to go down as the best one ever, and made better by our fire service who kept everyone safe.
