Sickening Attack On A Man In Piccadilly Gardens Leaves Him Badly Hurt And Motionless

A Male was attacked and robbed whilst sitting down in Piccadilly Gardens in Manchester on Aug 22 at around 9pm.

He was pushed by a women with so much force it caused him to bang his head on the kerb.

A second Male offender then approached the victim and proceeded to kick him in his body and head, both then made off towards a nearby tram stop with a jacket stolen from the victim.

Police have released CCTV footage of the attack which was recorded by a member of the public, and now forms part of the investigation.

Detective Constable Jonathan Barnett of GMP’s City of Manchester Team said: “This is a violent attack and was witnessed by several people.

“The victim suffered nasty injuries to his head and was left motionless on the ground following the assault.

“I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the attack that night, or anyone who recognises the man or woman seen assaulting the man in the video, to pleases get in touch, your information could prove vital in helping us secure justice for the victim.”
