HS2 Comes Closer To Partington Than Was First Planned

The HS2 rail link has been revised and is now only yards away from Partington.

This will impact the area in a big way, so big we are told compensation may be given to residents in the area, some will like that idea, but for others the unwelcome noise will blight the area for decades and years to come.

The construction of the HS2 link will take many years to build, and it is expected to be delayed because of either protest or landowners taking legal action, this will only make things worse for Partington.

HS2 itself is in fact a fairly good idea, linking everything up on ultra fast rail lines that will cut the time it takes to travel to london in half, but many admit that with the country going through so many cuts and the government killing off the poorest in society do we need it, since we have the west coast mainline.

We have contacted local councillors for a statement and will update the story soon as they get in touch.
