Walton Park in Sale is not only a green flag park but one of the best looked after in Trafford, and has a very popular miniature railway that people can go on throughout the year, it is a great park to bring the kids in, with a very safe playground.

The park has though nothing for disabled people, this is going to change next year as a local councillor tells news4trafford that the disabled will be looked after, with better access to the toilets and from the car park.
A new toilet with disabled rails will be installed at the hut where the toilets are now and a ramp, ramps will also be place in other areas of the park although we have no information yet what type of facilities are going to be constructed in the car parks to help disabled people.
Kerbs will be lowered where possible, it is great for the park that all walks of life will now be looked after.
As for the park in 2016 saw some crime issues, a little more than the year before and this is we expect to continue into 2017, we can all stop this by reporting suspicious activities to police on 101 or through Facebook GMP Trafford South page weekdays.
Report also to Trafford Council about dog fouling, Trafford are aware of the old man and little white dog who seems to know when no one is about and lets his little white dog do its business, despite the false front this man gives you, please report him or anyone else who does not pick up their dogs mess, when you do remember to log the time and where and where possible a photo or log some information about the offender.
Lastly Walton Park is too good to become just another park that rots away, we all have some part to play in making sure it continues to be the best park in Trafford, despite Trafford selling our front-line services to a private company who’s only interest is to make money, we can only do our bit.
