A man has been charged with the murder of 42-year-old Philip Owen who suffered a fatal knife wound to the neck in Urmston.

At around 7pm on October 30 last year police were called to reports that a body of a man had been found a property on Gloucester road.

Ashley Bosson born in 1992 and of no fixed address will appear at Manchester Magistrates Court on Feb 23 via video link.

Bosson was also detained under section 2 of the mental health act.
