Police Appeal For Witnesses After A Large Fight At A Car Park On Barton Dock Road

Police are appealing for witnesses after a large fight in a carpark following a party at Event City.

At around 4am on 29 January police were called to reports that around 100 people were fighting in a carpark at event City on Barton Dock Road.

Officers attended and soon confirmed there was more likely to have been 15 – 20 people involved, not the 100 as initially reported.

Three men were taken to hospital and were treated for minor injuries, they have now been discharged.

Detective Inspector John Stainton from Stretford Police Station said: “There was a lot of confusion about what happened and how many people were involved in last night’s fighting but we are now clear that there were a maximum of around 20 people involved in the disorder.

“We are appealing for anyone who saw anything to get in  touch as soon as possible.

“Behaviour like we saw last night is not acceptable and I’m only thankful that there weren’t any more serious injuries.”

Anyone with any further information  is asked to contact police on 0161 856 7651, or 101 quoting the reference number: 430 of the 29/01/17 or alternatively via Crimstoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
