A Big Spectator Turnout Saw The Trafford Head Boat Race On The Bridgewater Canal In Sale

A big spectator turnout was seen all along the Bridgewater Canal tow path today Feb 2, from Walton Park in Sale towards Broadheath.

The rowing teams turned out and put on an excellent display despite the drab weather conditions.

Trafford highest position in the race was a respectable 7th and 8th with Lancaster Royal Grammar School winning the event.

Today we saw a rower almost passing out in his boat due to the brutality of the sport, gladly he came around and was able to continue.
