A female motorcyclist is in a critical condition after coming of her motorbike colliding with a car in Urmston.

At around 7.30pm last night March 12, the female who was riding a red Honda motorbike was travelling along Crofts Bank Road in Urmston, and when she reached the junction of Canterbury Road, a white Vauxhall Zafira started to pull out of the junction, the female motorcyclist lost control of the bike and both crossed onto the opposite side of the road, where the rider came of the bike.
The female motorcyclist aged twenty was taken to hospital, where she remains in a critical condition.
Police have now launched an investigation to establish what happened.
Police Constable Paul Hailwood of GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “My thoughts are with the woman’s family at this difficult time.
“We have launched an investigation to establish exactly what happened and I would urge any witnesses, or anyone who saw the red motorbike shortly before, to get in touch with police.”
