Several cars were damaged in the early hours of March 16 on Riding Close in Sale.
It is thought that the offenders were looking for property to steal, it is not known at this time how many offenders were causing the damage.
Police are telling the public to ensure all valuable items are removed from vehicles when unattended, and if you can leave your vehicles under a street light or security light, on a driveway or locked garage.
If you are a resident of Riding Close or someone who just happened to be in the area at the time passing through you are asked to contact police on the 101 number.
