Manchester Airport Terminal 3 building that was evacuated earlier gets the all clear

Terminal 3 at Manchester Airport was evacuated this morning due to a suspicious package.

Police were called just before 9am this morning July 5 and responded by a precautionary evacuation of the building.

Bomb disposal officers attended and a series of controlled explosions were carried out on the package, following further inspections, the package is not believed to be a viable device and there is no threat at this time.

Police have lifted cordons and have deemed this was not a terrorist event.
