A popular takeaway on Park Road in Timperley once boasted a full five-star food hygiene rating certificate, has now been handed its second number one rating.
Turkish Grill offer some of the best food around, we have sampled food from the takeaway and found everything to be very tasty, although some issues were giving alarm at the time, pink chicken was one of them.
Food hygiene inspectors have very recently been back to check on the takeaway and found staff had not been keeping records, and have no food safety management system in place.
The diary of refrigeration and food temperatures did not have any proof of any monitoring or checks having been carried out since June 18th, a freezer had not been fixed since the last inspection and the chiller temperature reading was obscured.
There was no sanitiser or towels near the wash hand basin, and it was found that they were using tongs for turning over burgers on the griddle and the potential for cross contamination, the takeaway was told that they need to follow a procedure which eliminates the cross contamination risk.
The strongest advice by the inspectors was to keep records of hot and cold food temperatures which they say should be -5c for fridges, -18 or less for freezers.
Lastly the report said that the takeaway had no system for allergen identification and control, charts will be sent out to them.
