Detectives are investigating after a man was involved in a collision with a motorbike in Wythenshawe/Brooklands area.
At around 6pm on September 3rd, police were called to Ferndown Road, to reports of a collision involving a am and a motorbike.
A 41-year-old man suffered serious head injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment, but has since been discharged.
The rider of the motorbike was seen fleeing the scene in the direction of Wythenshawe Road.
The Man is white, aged between 40 and 50-years-old, large build with a long beard and riding a ‘Chopper’ style motor bike with wide handlebars.
An investigation has been launched and police are now appealing for information.
Detective Constable Chris Clarke of GMP’s City of Manchester Team said: “This is a serious set of circumstances where a vehicle was used to assault a victim in what is believed to be an unprovoked attack.
“This happened in the early evening when there may have been people around who have seen something.
“If you were in the area around that time and saw a man matching this description or the motorbike, please contact us.
“A member of the public is believed to have set off in pursuit and we are particularly keen to speak to them as they may have vital information, we would also like to speak to anyone who may have dashcam footage of the incident.”
