Suspicious suitcase found at Trafford Retail Park in Urmston

Police shut down all roads leading up to the Trafford Retail Park in Urmston just before 7pm, the slip roads that goes towards the M60 was also closed for a short time.

Everyone who works at the retail park and customers were evacuated whilst the suspicious suitcase that was left inside KFC was inspected.

It was deemed as safe and shortly after roads were re opened and staff were allowed to go back to work.

GMP Stretford on twitter saying “The incident at Urmston Retail Park has been dealt with and all roads reopened, someone had left a suitcase inside KFC and walked off”

With the terror alert still very high, it is still likely an attack could happen, and police were taking no chances, with a very large visible presence.
