Saharan dust makes the sun go red over Trafford

The sun is a odd red colour today and we can tell you that it is caused by the remnants of Hurricane Ophelia, which dragged with it tropical air and dust from the sahara.

Reports coming in that cars in the Partington area had a dusting of sand, this could be the same in other parts of Trafford and Greater Manchester.

There is nothing to worry about at all with the dust or the sun’s colour, its an amazing display, of course looking at the sun directly can cause blindness and we urge people to take care when doing so.
