Firefighters were called at around 1pm today November 21 to reports of a fire at a factory on Davenport Lane in Broadheath in Altrincham.

Three fire engines attended from Stretford, Sale and Altrincham.

 

The fire involved a furnace within the castings factory, which was brought under control by firefighters wearing breathing apparatus and using hose reels.

Fire fighters remained at the incident for around three hours.
