A big fire occurred this evening, December 2 at around 4:45pm, four fire engines from Sale, Altrincham and Wythenshawe along with the Command Support Unit from Hyde attended a building fire on Bloomsbury Lane, Timperley.

On arrival crews found the fire to be involving the first floor and roof space of a property, that being Quarrt Bank Inn,  Firefighters used four breathing apparatus, three hose reels, breaking in gear, thermal image camera and lighting to extinguish the fire.

Crews are still in attendance.
