Shortly before 1.45pm on Christmas day 2017 a white Yamaha FZ6 motorbike was being ridden in a south-easterly direction along Moss Lane in Partington, at the same time a blue Peugeot 206 was travelling along Hardwick Road.
As the Peugeot 206 reached the junction, it was involved in a collision with the motorbike, the 21-year-old rider formally identified as Cole Porter was taken to hospital by Air Ambulance but sadly died a short time later.
The driver of the Peugeot car stayed at the scene and no arrests have been made.
Paying tribute to Cole his family said: “Cole was a loving son, a caring brother and a loyal friend.
“He was passionate and driven, with the world at his feet, he has the softest heart and a laugh that would fill up the room.
“He meant everything to his friends and even more to his family, and will remain in our hearts forever, Our beautiful boy.
“We are heart-broken and would appreciate privacy at this devastating time.”
News4Trafford sends its condolences to the family and close friends of Cole Porter at this difficult time.
