A weather advisory has been issued for Greater Manchester over the next couple of days.

Snow, hail and high winds have been predicted to hit Greater Manchester leading to tricky driving conditions.

Freezing cold temperatures added with the windchill will make things even worse for all who venture outside.

Gusts of wind during the morning all the way through the afternoon on Thursday will be around 65mph from a Westerly direction in exposed parts, although it is likely the highest wind speeds will be seen in Manchester during the early hours.

Gritters were seen out and about tonight Jan 16 in the Trafford area, as hail showers has already hit the area and drifted for a time tonight, and may get a little slippy during the early hours and at rush hour during tomorrow morning.
