Former Manchester United player Liam Miller has died aged 36, the Irishman played of United in 2004 on a free transfer.
The Irish born midfielder also played for Celtic and Sunderland, and other well known football clubs, he played for his national team 21 times from 2004-2009.
Sadly in November he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and passed away today 9th February.
It is the same cancer that claimed the life of Dirty Dancing star Patrick Swayze, and American Ninja star Steve James.
It is expected Manchester United and the entire premier league and all the other leagues in the UK will pay there respects to the player at the weekend wearing black arm bands and silence or a minute of clapping for a player that graced the pitches of some of the biggest names in world football.
