Trafford MV will be at full strength for the visit of Eccles to MacPherson Park this Saturday.

An enforced two-week break due to the cancellation of last weekends Burnley away fixture due to bad weather means recovery from knocks for a couple of players and rested legs for the rest.

MV Captain Andy Quigley will be looking for a confident performance from his players as he looks to repeat the win from earlier in the season when MV came away 25-39 winners.

MV have a 4 match winning run going at the moment and another win will put pressure on Tarleton who are sat just above MV in 7th place in the North Lancs / Cumbria League.

Confidence is high at MV that some good results will come in the run in to the end of the season which will boost the Clubs standing at this level of rugby. MV will then be looking to attract local amateur players who want to play at the highest level of rugby they can attain.

MV’s 2nd XV will travel to the Merseyside team Crosby St Mary’s and the 3rd XV will host Hope Valley RFC at MacPherson Park.

Local rugby lovers are invited to watch MV’s game on Saturday kick off 2.15pm followed by International 6 Nations Rugby on the big screens at the Club.

As the cold weather snap abates Trafford MV Cricket Club begin to put their plans in place for the 2018 summer season.

Senior indoor Nets are under way as are the junior sessions on Sundays. MV will also be running the All Stars Cricket course for 5-8 year olds during May – July keep an eye open for forthcoming information, If you are interested in any of the cricket at MV then please contact Wilf Dooley at wilfdooley@virginmedia.com
