The UK will be feeling a tad more tired from next weekend as the time moves forward one hour, the good news it will be lighter for longer.

These days most timers, your mobile phones and tablets all change automatically, only the older equipment needs the manual touch.

We change the time twice a year, the Summer Time Act of 1916 was passed by Parliament and the first day of British summer was reported in back in May 1921.

Having longer light during the evening also helps reduce accidents on our ever increasingly dangerous roads.

So add it to your diary March 25 at 01.00am BST begins, and lets hope we can all enjoy the lighter nights with a little bit more sunshine and warmth this coming summer!
