French air traffic controllers are to strike from 7pm UK time tonight ending on Friday at 5pm in protest over labour reforms.

Flights from Manchester are badly affected with some flights already cancelled, all flights to and from France, and flights towards Spain are subject to either cancellations or delays.

Easy Jet has tweeted “French strike today at 7pm UK time to Friday 5pm UK time impacting our programme, there will be air traffic restrictions across our network and we will inform any affected customers directly”

As you would expect Air France are badly affected although the strike does not affect long haul flights, which is similar with what British Airways are doing, other airlines like Ryanair and Jet2 will also see disruption from Manchester.

We suggest you check the status of your flight if flying during the strike before setting out to the airport or contacting the airline directly.
