Road closed off as a big sinkhole opens up in Sale

A gigantic sinkhole has opened up on Gleblands Road in Sale forcing police to close it off both ways.

The sinkhole opened up sometime today March 30, the road is blocked from Doveston Road to Mersey Road coming from A56.

It is not known when the sinkhole will be filled in and made safe.

A sinkhole happens due to bad foundations underneath they give way and the pressure at the top is too much and the road falls in.

Having checked this sinkhole it is very deep and will take some effort to fix the issue.
