Two men have been arrested in connection with the death of a man at Manchester Airport.
Shortly after 8.25am on April 6th, police were called to reports of an assault at a car park at Terminal 2 of the airport.
A 57-year-old taxi driver was taken to hospital where he sadly died and enquiries remain ongoing at the scene.
Two men aged 55 and 26 have been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter and remain in custody for questioning.
A post-mortem examination will be carried out tomorrow April 7th.
Detective Chief Inspector Carl Jones, of GMP’s Major Incident Team said: “We have specially trained officers supporting the man’s family at what is understandably an incredibly difficult time and our thoughts remain with them.
“We have two men in custody but our investigation is still in its early stages, several witnesses are currently helping us with our esquires.”
