Police are appealing for information after a teenager was stabbed in Hulme.
At around 5.40pm on Sunday 29 April 2018, police were called to reports that a teenager had been assaulted on Lingmoor Walk.
The 17-year-old was approached by a group of men wearing balaclavas who stabbed the teenager several times.
As the teenager fell to the ground, the four men fled from the scene in what is believed to be a gold Fiat.
The teenager was taken to hospital for treatment of his serious injuries and has since been released.
Enquiries into the full circumstances around this incident are ongoing.
Detective Inspector Gary Smith of GMP’s City of Manchester Division, said: “This was a violent attack on a young man.”
“The use of knives to threaten or harm people is absolutely unacceptable and we need the public’s help to find those responsible.
“We have increased the number of patrols in the area, so please, if you saw anything suspicious yesterday evening, or know something that could help this investigation, speak to these officers directly.
“You can also call 0161 856 4409 to speak to our local team, or make a report anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 quoting incident number 1735 of 29/04/18.”
