Sale Sharks rugby team got the green light this week for a state of the art artificial rugby pitch to be installed where there is currently a grass pitch at their Carrington Lane training facility.

The plans include flood lighting and fencing, ancillary storage container and dugouts with some landscape changes such as a temporary mound , the work should begin soon and we expect some delays for motorists on Carrington lane during the works.

Plans are in place to make sure the road is clear of dust and debris, two huge HGV’s will deliver the new pitches as soon as work to harden the current grass pitch has been completed.

Drainage has also been looked at and likely some modifications will occur.

Fencing all around the pitch and to near the entrance will also be installed.
