Police tape off a section of woods in Partington after a man is found dead

A corner of Partington known as Coroners Wood off Oak Road was taped off on June 9th as police were called to reports that a man had been found.

It was later confirmed that a man in his 50’s had been found dead, ‘unconfirmed’ reports suggest he was found hanging from a tree.

Local people were shocked at what had happened, after yet another suicide to hit the area, in recent times a man had killed himself in his own car at a car park next to Cross Lane Park.

A local GP told us that the rates of suicide in Trafford are much higher than people think, and not much is done to prevent a suicide.
