In partnership with the Kings ransom in Sale and Gripadventure a new family friendly canoe hire service has been set up on the Bridgewater Canal in Sale.
With the aim of engaging more people from across the borough to use our canals in a safe and environmentally friendly way.
Families and groups can pick up a rafted canoe and safety equipment for a two-hour canoe expedition on the Bridgewater.
Over twenty families and eleven scout and cub groups have engaged in water sport activities so far this summer with the aim of improving community activities for groups.
Grip adventures director Glenn Rees has said: “It’s been a pleasure to offer this activity to families who have come back from a canoe trip smiling and amazed at how relaxed their trip was with friends and family.”
