National Lottery pulls out of a Co-op store in Sale

The National Lottery has pulled out of a Co-operative store on Coppice Avenue in Sale.

We asked staff at the store why it was the terminal and the scratch card stand had vanished, and sadly no one was coming forward with information.

Another nearby Co-operative store manager told us “The National Lottery has pulled out to trial what would happen to the store if it had no lottery, would it be better or worse”

He also told us that the store only gets 0.5% for every sale which he says amounts to £100 as an estimate, this is not a lot of money for the Co-operative.

A Spokesperson for the Co-op, confirmed: “National lottery is temporarily unavailable at our store in Coppice Avenue, Sale – we apologise to our customers at this store for any inconvenience caused.”
