Clear & Simple pregnancy test kits recalled due to false results


One batch of Clear & Blue digital pregnancy test kits have been recalled after it was found some provided inaccurate results.

58,000 kits were distributed and the makers of the brand Guangzhou Wondfo Biotech and UK-based brand owner Healthpoint and has said only a small amount of these kits were providing the inaccurate results.

Due to the small number of inaccuracies and our continued quality commitment to customers the decision was taken to recall this lot from retailers. Affected stocks have already been removed from retail shelves and are in our warehouse awaiting destruction.

The affected batch is a Digital 1 test pack, Lot number DM10220170710E with the expiry date 9th January 2020, the recall does not include any other packs, and no none digital test kits are affected.

The Medicines & Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency has issued an apology to all those that were affected and the upset it may have caused, and are making sure that no more issues occur.
