Stephen Anstee has told us that he is to step down in May next year, he has also resigned from his role on Partington Parish Council last month.

He also tells us that the rumour that his brother is to step down is false.

Stephen said: “It’s been a pleasure to bring about significant change in Broadheath Ward since being elected in 2015.

“I stood down from the Partington Parish Council last month, and similarly to my work in Broadheath Ward, it was a pleasure to have served on that Council too.

“Both communities have really committed groups and volunteers and I have made some great friends over the last few years, getting stuck in and doing my best to deliver for residents everyday.”
We believe his reasons for standing down from both roles were due to family reasons,
