At around 7pm a man came into the store demanding money, he threatened a female member of staff with what has been described as a large knife.

The man who is believed to have been on his own left the store with a quantity of cash.

Although the lone member of staff was unhurt in the incident she is was shaken up and feared for her life.

It is thought many people were around the shopping centre at the time and likely to have seen the man run off from the store.

We have contacted Greater Manchester Police for further information on this robbery.

Partington has seen a dramatic rise in criminality over the past few months, officer numbers are stretched so far they cannot deal with everything, it is becoming increasingly dangerous, and more needs to be done by companies to help protect members of staff at all shops in Trafford

Anyone with information should contact police as soon as you can on 101 or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
