Police are responding to reports that an unexploded tank cartridge had been found in Manchester City Centre.

Shortly before 10.55am this morning 24 October, police were called to a building site on Newquay Street.
The cartridge has now been removed and all cordons have been lifted.
Quay Street was closed at the junction with Water Street. The bridge that crosses the River Irwell was also closed for a time today.
