Police are appealing for information after a man was found with serious injuries at a retail park in Manchester City Centre.
Shortly after 9.30am on Saturday 10 November 2018, emergency services were called to reports of concern for the welfare of a man at Central Retail Park on Great Ancoats Street in the city centre.
Officers attended a man believed to be in his 50s was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
An investigation has been launched and enquiries are ongoing.
Police have released a description of the man who was found injured, in the hope that members of the public might have information which could help police establish the full circumstances of what happened.
He is described as a white male, in his 50s with long dark hair and a dark beard. He was wearing black trousers, a green bomber-style jacket with a fur-lined hood and black and white converse-style canvas trainers.
Detective Inspector Dave Sinclair, of GMP’s City of Manchester Division, said: “The man remains critically ill in hospital and my thoughts are with him and his family.
“This investigation is in its early stages, and we are working to establish the full circumstances surrounding this incident and determine how this man received his injuries.
“Did you see the man in the area at the time, or have any information that can assist us?
“I would urge anyone with information about what happened to please get in touch with police as soon as you can.”
