Crash in Altrincham was only yards from a school crossing patrol

Police were called to reports of a crash this morning (Nov 22) on Oakfield Road in Altrincham.

The white Citroen Picasso car crashed into barriers at around 8.30am very close to a school crossing patrol, the front of the car was badly damaged.

It seemed that the driver had swerved and smashed into barriers before coming to a halt and only yards away from where school kids were crossing the road.

No one was injured at the scene and no ambulances attended.
