55-year-old man in critical following a collision with a car in Sale

Police are investigating after a man was badly injured following a collision in Sale.


Shortly before 9.15pm on Jan 1st (New Years Day), police were called to reports of a collision between a black Ford Fiesta and a pedestrian on Wythenshawe Road in Sale.

Emergency services attended and the pedestrian, a 55-year-old man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Enquiries are ongoing and police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Police Constable Phil Drummond, of GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “A man is in a critical condition following this collision, and my thoughts are with him as he recovers in hospital.

“We are working to establish the full circumstances of what happened, and I would appeal for anyone who witnessed the collision to get in touch with us.”
“We are especially keen to hear from anyone with dash cam footage of the collision or the events leading up to it.”
