Three games left for Trafford MV to restore some pride

Trafford MV have only 3 games left to enhance a season which has not fully met expectations.

MV vs Widnes

A great start to the season saw MV leading the league but a prolonged run of below par performances saw the side slip into the bottom half. Now adrift of higher placed competition MV are keen to end their season on a high note.

This weekends game against bottom club Tyldesley is a must win fixture. The teams have met twice already this season in League and Cup with MV narrow winners on both occasions. Tyldesley will be playing for pride and MV really need to put their game plan into good effect and make a statement of their intent. Kick off at MV’s MacPherson is 5.15pm.

MV always have an eye on the future and with the 6 Nations now in full swing and England putting in some great winning performances the club are putting an invitation out for any local youngsters who want to play Rugby Union to come and join their young players academy.

Bringing youngsters through from 4 years of age right up to U16’s rugby MV are keen to see local sports people develop their game within a local club structure. Trafford is a hot bed for Rugby Union with a number of very good rugby schools producing talented players and MV would like to see these young players progressing into local club rugby as a natural progression to grow the sport in our own borough.

Trafford MV Cricket Club has also started it’s Winter Junior Nets on Sunday at Manor High School anyone interested in Cricket for 7-12 year olds should contact Andrew Hamer on 07766 512454
