A great spectator turnout greeted all the rowers on the Bridgewater Canal in Trafford today for the annual Trafford Head boat race.
The fun started at 9.30am and the last race will be at 2.30pm, rowers from all around the north-west competed on what was a perfect day for sport despite a fairly gusty easterly wind.
In Walton Park the home of Trafford Rowing Club, refreshments was given to the rowers, and one part of the park was closed off to allow the huge rowing boats to be lifted of the racks and onto the canal.
Here is a full list of competitors HEREand we will have an update on who won soon.
