The Environment Agency has issued a flood alert for Trafford as the rivers continue to rise due to the amount of rain that is falling.
Sinderland Brook in Partington is now at serious risk of flooding which means Sinderland Lane, Covershaw Lane will be affected along with all the farm land around the immediate area.
The Environment agency suggests that once the brook reaches 0.80m which it has done minor flooding is likely, with the rain still falling and is expected to continue the brook might pass the record level reached which was just under 1.50m.
River Mersey at Sale is on the rise but some way off at the time of publishing from flooding, Flixton is some way off from flooding but river levels here are also rising, at Northenden flooding is now likely and is on flood alert.
The River Bolin is also on flood alert at Bollingon Mill.
