The event at Flixton Cricket and Sports Club are set to host their seventh annual music festival on Sunday 25th August 2019.

And the much-loved community event takes place at FlixtonSports and Cricket Club, Lawrence Road in Flixton every year.

Tickets have been on sale for two weeks and tier one has already sold out!

Seven years ago, the club was at a crossroads, they were struggling to keep the club
running. Sacrificing the quality of the sports coaching and equipment wasn’t an option
they were prepared to consider. Neither was increasing the prices of memberships because they knew it would impact their underprivileged members.

They decided to raise the money themselves by starting up their own festival. A festival
which grew quickly and has become a highly in demand event for thousands of local
families. Flixton Cricket and Sports Club are passionate about keeping sports financially
accessible to the local community. Not only do they have cricket on offer, but they also have
tennis, bowls, karate, table tennis and more.

With lots of their attendees going on to win top awards in the sports world. They also have a well used and well-loved function room that hosts a variety of community-based clubs and activities. As well as being a great venue for celebrations.

This year’s family-friendly event is set to bring some big names and rising stars of the
the northern music scene, plus they’re bringing more fun and attractions to keep the family
entertained all day.

The line up this year is their best yet. They’ve secured some of the best in the business. Flixton Festival organisers are determined to make this the best year in the history of the event.

A spokesperson for the festival commented, “We want the community to have great value for money and the best day out for all the family”.

Artful Dodger and Phats and Small, both well-loved DJs from the ’90s, will be bringing the
nostalgic fun for this year’s audience. They’ll be performing some of their most well-loved tracks such as ‘Re-wind’ one of the most notable tracks behind Craig David’s huge
success. Plus the iconic dance track ‘Turn Around’ will no doubt be featured, giving us all
the summer festival vibes.

North West band’s The Mercy Mile, Reclaim Vienna, Hanover is performing on the day.
Plus Manchester based, rising star, Jess Kemp will be bringing her band to perform her
hit tracks amongst some well-known tunes.

Unity Radio presenter, producer and DJ Sarah Giggle will also be there, on the decks in the evening.

This year the team are set to host their biggest event to date. They’re bringing a
spectacular line up, delicious street food, prosecco and cocktail bars, a children’s
entertainment area (which is included in the ticket price). Plus there will be a fairground
curated with family fun at the heart of it.

Both adults and children will be able to use all the activities on offer. Tickets are priced at just £15 for adults and £8 for children, under 5’s go free! Plus the unlimited use fairground wristbands are just £7.

Tickets are available to buy on Eventbrite and at Flixton Cricket and Sports Club.
