Partington Parish Council meets with HS2 but says very little to residents

Partington Parish Council who has its base on Central Road met recently with two people from HS2.

Although the parish council did mention something in a PDF on the website, nothing much else was said about the visit.

HS2 will come very close to Oak Road in Partington and could destroy some of the historic Coroners Wood.

What do we know so far? HS2 is going to happen! it will cause significant damage to the green belt, likely to cause vibrations and noise and light pollution.

We know the existing flats on Tulip Road are like tissue paper and will cause residents in them flats some bigger problems once the rail line built.

The speeds these trains go will mean problems will be fleeting but significant as they will be running throughout the night.

We have asked the Parish Council for more information on what was said at the meeting and will update this article once we have the infomation.
