Traffords rowers had a Successful day at Chester Regatta at the weekend.
Trafford Rowing Club attended the world’s oldest regatta at Chester at the weekend. The event was first staged in 1733 and is highly competitive.
The senior men and women performed well with the women narrowly losing in the final of the open event against Liverpool University.
Euan, our youngest competitor on the day won the J13 single event and narrowly missed out on also winning the quad. The juniors reached 4 other finals on the day but each unfortunately were just pipped to the line.
Alongside the success on the water the Head Junior Coach, Leon Langmead, was recognised as the Most Appreciated Coach on the day.
The club are looking to add to the junior ranks through learn to row courses across the summer – more information on this can be found on our website http://traffordrowing.club/information/junior-rowstart/
