Several helicopters seen flying over Partington mystery solved

Around seven helicopters was seen flying over Partington this evening in the space of around 10 minutes.

All the helicopters departed City Airport in Salford at around 7pm.

The passengers on all the aircraft we believe were players and staff from either India or Pakistan cricket teams, both national cricket teams were playing at the Emirates Old Trafford Cricket Ground.

We saw six helicopters heading south and one heading west, some people in Partington were surprised to see so many helicopters in a short space of time and was not sure what was going on.

The cricket game ended with India winning Pakistan by 89 runs, India 336/5 and Pakistan 212/6.
