Flight AC-33 was on route over the Pacific Ocean on July 11th 2019 when the Boeing 777-200 aircraft suddenly started shaking violently causing passengers who had just been served a meal to be thrown about the cabin.

Some of the passengers on board told of shocking scenes where people were on the ceiling of the plane.

The turbulence was caused by a storm in the area, the captain decided to divert to Honolulu airport where 35 passengers were treated for minor injuries.

All passengers were given a night in a hotel until another aircraft could be sent out to them.

Normally turbulence which most people have experienced does not cause many problems, this though shows you how dangerous it can be.
