A teenager has been charged after a murder investigation was launched in Irlam.

A 17-year-old boy– who cannot be named for legal reasons – has been charged with murder. He has been remanded and will appear at Manchester City Magistrates Court on Monday 2 September 2019.
Shortly after 3.15pm on Friday 30 August 2019, police were called to reports that a man in his 50s had been stabbed on Silverdale Avenue in Irlam.
Emergency services attended and a man in his 50s was taken to hospital with serious injuries, but died yesterday evening (Saturday 31 August 2019).
Nancy Smith (14/6/71) of Manchester Road East, Salford has been charged with assisting an offender. She has been remanded and will also appear at Manchester City Magistrates Court on Monday 2 September 2019.
