Teenager arrested after threatening to stab people in Old Trafford

A 17-year-old male has been arrested after he threatened people with a knife near to a tram stop in Old Trafford.

The male  whocannot be named due to his age threatened people with a knife if they did not go to a ATM and give him money, he was also done for three previous robberies and two attempted robberies.

Trafford CCTV was locked on to this individual and managed to get police officers to the scene to detain the male teenager.

Police have said when they took the male back home his family was very upset, it is expected the male will have to attend a police station for further questioning before being handed over to a court.
