Residents happy after the council finds money to resurface Craven Road in Broadheath

Craven Road in Broadheath is currently being resurfaced and the road has been shut down during work hours since Monday.

It is likely the work will be completed by weekend, the road calming humps will be last to be installed.

We asked some residents about the work and all have said it was badly needed and are so far happy with the job.

Craven Road which goes from Sinderland Road to George Richards Way has been a nightmare for a very long time, the surface throughout was shocking.

More roads are to be shut soon although they could be delayed, Park Road in Timperley from Riddings Road will be closed for around a week from 21st October, it is possible that if it is for resurfacing temporary lights will be in place.

Sinderland Lane to Dairyhouse Farm is to be closed on 22nd Oct to 25th Oct, further on into November a section of Barton Road in Stretford is to be closed near the railway bridge this will last a day.

As for Craven Road though we are glad that action on this road has happened and the many cyclists and careful drivers can travel in comfort.
